The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in 2004. The department offers UG courses with an intake of 60 students, respectively. The department has excellent infrastructure facilities, well equipped laboratories, and experienced faculty. The main objective of the department, right from its inception, is to inculcate a sprite of scientific temper, analytical thinking and train the students in contemporary technologies in electrical and electronics to meet the needs of the industry.
The department, which specializes in Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Measurements, and Control systems, is directed by a group of committed, knowledgeable, and experienced faculty members. Well-established, well-equipped labs with 10 Mbps Internet access and software packages like MATLAB and PSPICE. In addition to teaching students in coding skills, the department offers all students certification courses and a variety of hands-on training programs in core technologies beginning in the first year. Enrollment in the emerging technologies courses given by NPTEL (Swayam) and other online platforms is encouraged for all students.
