The Humanities and Sciences (H&S) department has been an integral part of the Institute since its inception in 2004, initially admitting 240 students. Over the years, the department has grown significantly, with the current intake standing at 600 students across six branches of engineering. This multidisciplinary department comprises faculty members from diverse backgrounds, including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Environmental Studies. The department plays a vital role in facilitating a seamless transition for students from the 10+2 level to the study of engineering and technology.
The department's primary focus is to provide a robust conceptual foundation in basic sciences, serving as a launching pad for students to excel in their core engineering courses. In addition to academic excellence, the department is committed to holistic development, actively engaging students in various aspects, including:
